FIVE WEEK CHALLENGE COMPLETION
So yesterday was my last day of the FFF Challenge. My goal was to lose 5 lbs in five weeks using five simple rules.
I don't even think I really stuck with the challenge as closely as I could have, but I did it! :)
I lost the five pounds! I got on the scale yesterday and saw 139 and since I couldn't remember my starting weight, I was kind of bummed about it. I was thinking that I would HAVE to write a post about it out of integrity and really wasn't looking forward to it. I logged into the blog, double-checked my calendar to see if it truly was the last day and took a deep breath before crunching the numbers.
For a second I "panicked" because I couldn't remember my starting weight (when I saw 139lbs, I was like, didn't I start at 141? I only lost two pounds in all this time?) but then I remembered that I kept a journal for a few days and saw that I clocked in at 144lbs. Punched the numbers and BOOM! There it was... 5. : )
I'm so proud of myself. I know that I didn't stick super close to my "rules", especially the cooking one, but I do like how the idea of losing the pounds stayed in the middle (not front or back) of my mind so I was taking in more water and veggies.
I'm sure that if I was a little more intentional, I'd have some bonuses like more defined abs or more strength, but I don't and it doesn't matter. I'm very proud of myself and look forward to seeing even more growth physically and mentally as I continue onward from here. WOO HOO!
**I really didn't champion on the other participants like I could have (and my mom had a really big injury :( )so I do want to make sure that next time I recruit people, I'm really down for that cause. The good thing, however, is that I did think to reward all of the people who successfully completed the challenge with a gift... SO I'LL GET MYSELF SOMETHING NICE! lol : P I'm thinking either a CARA Membership or some lululemon Run: Inspire Crops. Regardless, I know that I'm getting my new running shoes soon. Maybe I'll just leave it at the running shoes for budgeting purposes. : )
GO, ME! GO FITNESS! GO HEALTH! GO HAPPY! GO SUCCESS!
TODAY'S WORKOUT: 35 min. XT w/ my boss *geeze*
P.S. One of the trainers at the gym said that I'm running too slow, in passing. :( I'll ask how true this is. I can run a sub 10 mile, but I have to run a lot more miles after that! lol I've always been too nervous to keep a speedy pace as I try to build my endurance.
Love,
Melissa
So... Maybe it's not this serious or maybe it is... But this is a great video...
